Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) govern your relationship with www.pulsarlaw.ca (the “Website”) operated by Pulsar Law in Vancouver BC (the “Firm”, “us”, “we”, or “our”).  


For all users or visitors of the Website (in either case “you”), please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.  


By visiting or using the Website, you hereby agree, and on behalf of any entity you may act on their behalf, to accept these Terms and Conditions and the Firm’s Privacy Policy for each use of and each visit to the Website. 


If you do not agree to any provisions of these Terms, please stop using or visiting the Website. 


The Firm may, in its own and sole discretion, to revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes are posted will constitute acceptance of those changes.  


1. NOT LEGAL ADVICE AND NO SOLICITOR-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

The Firm provides the Website solely for informational purpose. All materials and information (collectively “Materials”) provided on the Website are not substitutes of legal advice and do not constitute for legal advice. Such Materials do not, and do not intent to, create a solicitor-client relationship between you and the Firm. 


2. Website Hosting, Privacy, and Cookies

As the Firm uses GoDaddy to host the Website, you agree to adhere GoDaddy’s policy that prohibits Abusive Activities and Other Threats as stipulated in its Hosting Agreement.


You agree that you consent to the Firm’s Privacy Policy by visiting or using the Website. The Policy can be found at www.pulsarlaw.ca/privacy-policy. Consenting to the Privacy Policy is mandatory for using or visiting the Website and other services provided by the Firm.


Cookies

Cookies are small data files used to store information including visitors' preferences, your device information, and information related to how you interacted with the Website. 

By using our Site, you consent to the Firm’s collection and use of cookies and agreeing to GoDaddy’s Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy, Google's Privacy & Terms, and Microsoft's Privacy Statement. 


You agree that the Firm may use the cookie information to optimize your user experience while visiting the Website as well as knowing better about our client base. You may have an option on the webpage to turn of some cookies, such as tracking cookies, and can also set your browser to turn off all cookies. However, if you turn off cookies, your browsing experience may be impacted.

Please note the Firm only provides these links as a convenience and will not be responsible for the content, security, quality, reliability, accuracy, or completeness of the third-party sites, nor the Firm endorse the content of such materials and information on these third-party websites. Third-party sites may be subject to a different Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

 

3. Security of the Website

The Website is provided on an “as-is” and “as available” basis. Use the Website at your own discretion or risk. You are solely responsible for any damage or interruption to your device or computer system, or loss of data resulting therefrom. The Firm cannot guarantee the security of any communication to or from the Website as the information sent through internet is generally not secure. 


4. Intellectual Property Rights  

All materials and contents on the Website, including but not limited to designs, articles, blogs, graphics, software, database, logos and marks displayed on the Website are owned by the Firm, the Firm’s licensors including service providers, or other providers of such material. These materials and contents are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.  

Other than creating a temporary copy of the materials and contents for viewing the website or retaining small portions of materials for personal and commercial use permitted under relevant copyright legislation, you are not allowed to duplicate, copy, derive, compile, download, modify, transfer, or transmit such materials and contents of the Website without first seeking the Firm’s written consent.


5. Disclaiming Warranty and Conditions

The Firm expressly disclaim any and all warranties and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including all warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, or non-infringement.  

The Firm does not guarantee that the Website will be complete, accurate, error-free, uninterrupted, or will meet your requirements. Particularly, the Firm cannot guarantee that Website is free of viruses or other harmful code.


6. Limitation on Liability 

WHETHER THE ACTION IS IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF ACTION, THE FIRM SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE, DIRECT OR INDIRECT, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES (IN EACH CASE A “DAMAGE”) CAUSED BY ANY REASONS OR ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR ACCESS OF THE WEBSITE OR IN RELIANCE ON THE MATERIALS OR INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE. FOR GREATER CLARITY, SUCH DAMAGES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO) THE LOSS OF USE, LOST DATA, LOST BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, PERSONAL INJURY, OR ANY OTHER PERSONAL OR PECUNIARY LOSS. 

Notwithstanding any provisions contained in these Terms, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Firm’s liability to you for any Damages, will be all-time twenty Canadian dollars (CAD $20) maximum for single or multiple claims against the Firm.


7. Governing Law 

All complaints, disputes, claims, and actions (collectively “Action”) related to these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of British Columbia and federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree that all legal actions shall be resolved in a court of British Columbia.


8. General Terms and Conditions

Your rights and obligations under these Terms must not be assigned, delegated or other transferred to another person or entity without the Firm’s written consent. Any attempt of the foregoing will be null and void.

In the case of any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the other provisions of these Terms are not affected, and the invalid or unenforceable provision will be adjusted to the maximum extent so that it is valid and enforceable permitted by applicable law.  

The Firm’s failure of enforcing a provision or exercising any right under these Terms must not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
